Your body may notice before your eyes do

Hidden mold often makes itself known through how people feel inside the home. Sneezing, coughing, headaches, eye irritation, and unexplained fatigue can all be responses to mold exposure. If these symptoms ease up when you leave and return when you come back, that pattern is worth taking seriously.

Condensation and humidity are warning signs too

Foggy windows, damp surfaces, or that heavy, sticky feeling in certain rooms can signal indoor humidity levels high enough to support mold growth. Florida summers make this especially common in homes without well-maintained climate control.

Pay attention to your HVAC system

If you notice a musty smell the moment your air conditioning turns on, mold may have taken hold inside the ductwork or air handler — and every time the system runs, it’s circulating spores throughout your home.
